Growing up we always celebrated the day with a special themed breakfast, lunch and dinner. We’d wake up to the smell of pancakes (heart shaped of course!) Our lunches would be themed as well, and she would leave us a special Valentine’s Day note as a surprise. Coming home we’d find little gifts on our beds from our mother and a small bouquet of roses from our father. Now that both of us are all grown up, we still carry out this tradition and it’s a day we all look forward to in our household!
