How To Help Others During This Time
Hello lovelies! Hope you are all staying healthy and safe. I know we’re all having a hard time right now, in different ways, some more than others. I always try to find something positive to focus on in a difficult situation, and one of these is how I’ve noticed so many people step up in helping others! I hope these acts of kindness will carry out after we all return to our everyday lives. As we all do our part and social distance, I wanted to offer a couple ideas for my ladies looking to help out!
SHOP FOR THE ELDERLY
Since the older community are the most susceptible right now, they probably aren’t familiar with online shopping either! Their only option is to head out and go to the store. If you take the trip to go out and buy your necessities, pick something up for them too and drop it off! You can partake in the Meals on Wheels organization or even order a meal online with Uber Eats for them!
CHECK-IN
There are so many people that are alone in their homes and that can take a huge toll on their mental health. Frankie and I have both been on FaceTime constantly with our loved ones, keeping them company and honestly, helping us cope as well! A fun thing to do is make a meal, or have a glass of your favorite wine and do a little virtual cheers! You can also plan a movie night time, where you and your friends all start the movie at the same time and live text!
BE KIND!
We should always be kind to those around us, but right now it is even more crucial! Take a deep breath and remember, we are all in this together! We are all in the same boat right now; all of us are anxious and dealing with a lot. Try to be sensitive!
SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES
Our local shops and restaurants are struggling greatly right now. Show your support to your community and instead of ordering online from your local Chipotle, try out the local taco spot! Give CVS a break and go to your local pharmacy!
